A REFUTATION - Full Recording!
Featuring Chad Coleman, Brían F. O'Byrne, Michael Potts, Peter Marks, and a community panel of nurses, caregivers, faith leaders, and first responders.
Thank you to everyone who joined us last week for the premiere of A REFUTATION. We had a profound experience in Washington, D. C. engaging diverse audiences in powerful conversations about health inequities in America today. We are thrilled to share the full recording of the first performance at Ebenezer United Methodist Church - Capitol Hill.
Thank you to The Greenwall Foundation for commissioning this project in honor of their 75th anniversary, and to our partners at Ebenezer United Methodist Church - Capitol Hill and the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library for welcoming us to their beautiful spaces.
Thank you to the cast: Chad Coleman (The Walking Dead, The Wire), Brían F. O'Byrne (Conclave, Million Dollar Baby), Michael Potts (The Wire, The Piano Lesson), and Peter Marks (former chief theater critic for The Washington Post) for bringing the pamphlets, letters, and rebuttals by Absalom Jones, Richard Allen, Matthew Carey, and Benjamin Rush to life! Thank you to the community panelists, to the audiences who attended in person, and those who joined us on Zoom for sharing their perspectives, and insights, and bearing witness to each other’s stories.
